Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
Cross-Site Scripting refers to a kind of computer security vulnerability, most often found in web applications, whereby malicious web programmers are able to inject code into websites viewed by external users. Programmers exploiting these type of vulnerabilities can gain access to sensitive information on the external user's computer, and even take control of the computer's functions.
