• Thomson Acquires Baker Robbins (January 05, 2007) The Thomson Corporation The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC) today announced the acquisition of Baker Robbins & Company, the leading provider of technology and information management consulting to law firms and law departments. The acquisition of Baker Robbins provides a powerful complement to the Thomson portfolio of legal consulting services, and will be aligned with the company¿s Consulting Services group.

• More Customer Momentum Around the Microsoft-Novell Agreement (December 20, 2006) Microsoft Deutsche Bank AG, Credit Suisse and AIG Technologies today became some of the first customers to tap the benefits of the recently announced collaboration between Microsoft Corp. and Novell Inc. on interoperability between Microsoft® Windows® and Linux.

• Independent Research Firm Touts Oracle(r) Data Mining (December 20, 2006) Oracle A recently published report by Bloor Research Group cited Oracle(r) Data Mining, an option to Oracle Database 10g, as an impressive offering at an affordable price. Using Oracle Data Mining, customers can find hidden insights in their data and easily automate extraction and distribution of business intelligence (BI), helping to increase business efficiency and productivity as well as return on investment.

• Norton 360 Beta for Vista Now Available (December 20, 2006) Symantec Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the availability of public beta of Norton 360 for the Windows Vista operating system. Consumers who are currently running the shipping version of Vista (build 6000) can now deploy Symantec¿s new all-in-one consumer security service.

  Web site providers can take a deep breath - the California Supreme Court has ruled that they are not legally responsible for content posted by third-parties on their sites.

• Oracle Streamlines Pricing with New Licensing Models (December 19, 2006) Oracle Continuing its commitment to provide customers with simple, flexible and transparent licensing models, Oracle today announced that it has streamlined pricing across the Oracle(r) Applications portfolio, including JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Siebel, and Oracle E-Business Suite products.

• Oracle® Application Server 10g Release 3 on HP Servers Sets World Record with Java Application Server Performance Benchmark (December 19, 2006) Oracle Oracle today announced that Oracle® Application Server 10g Release 3, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, together with Oracle Database 10g Release 2, set a record-breaking result with the SPECjAppServer2004 industry standard benchmark. This achievement builds on Oracle's commitment of providing customers with the highest performing and most scalable Java Application Server.

• HP Strengthens and Simplifies UNIX Security (December 18, 2006) HP HP today reinforced its UNIX security offering with additions to the HP-UX 11i operating environment that extend and simplify the protection of data residing on HP Integrity servers.
