SearchInform Technologies

October 29, 2007 — SearchInform Technologies announces a new product from its information security line —  SearchInform IMSniffer, a product designed to intercept all instant messenger traffic within the network.

SearchInform IMSniffer – a program that intercepts all information sent by means of instant messaging clients (MSN, ICQ, QIP etc.) and allows you to prevent confidential information disclosure, monitor your employee's workflow and control the company's outgoing messaging traffic.

The program saves all intercepted message history logs into its own database and allows the user to conduct search through it employing SearchInform system's most advanced search capacities (stemming, thesaurus, similar search, etc.). IMSniffer offers various criteria to choose from to narrow the search down: you can choose two employees whose message history you want to check and/or search only through their message history over a certain specified period of time.

IMSniffer consists of a client and server parts. The latter is responsible for intercepting and storing messages into a database and indexing all text data. The network traffic from practically any network adapters, including Wi-fi and ADSL can be intercepted. The client part can be connected to the server whenever the user needs to work directly with the messages.

SearchInform IMSniffer main features:

Viewing message history of two recipients; Full text search in instant messenger logs with due consideration to stemming; Unique similar search feature; Control over employees' instant messaging correspondence; User access rights differentiation.
