TORONTO, ON - Gavel & Gown Software Inc. announced today the launch of two new software packages that dramatically enhance the scope of their legal software product line. Amicus Accounting, announced last year, has now been released for sale - and Amicus Small Firm debuts as a software package focused on solo practitioners and small firms.

"We are thrilled to offer these exceptional practice management, billing and accounting products," said Ron Collins, President of Gavel & Gown Software Inc. "We have taken the Amicus philosophy of providing easy-to-learn and easy-to-use software with advanced features and applied it to these exciting new offerings."

Amicus Accounting is a comprehensive time, billing and accounting software application developed specifically for law firms. It allows users to easily keep track of time and expenses, generate bills/checks and manage receivables and payables. The program also offers extensive trust accounting, general ledger, comprehensive financial and management reporting and much more.

Amicus Accounting can be run as a standalone program or partnered with Amicus Attorney to provide a total front office - back office solution for law firms.

The second new product is Amicus Small Firm, a combination of practice management and legal accounting designed specifically for solo and small firm practitioners. It boasts complete and integrated practice management capabilities with time, billing and legal accounting, all in one feature-rich package.

"With solo practitioners and small firms, sometimes the lawyer is also the office manager, bookkeeper and marketing person," said Collins. "We wanted to address their needs with a single package that will better organize their firm and allow them to spend more time practicing law and less time dealing with all the other functions of running a small business."

Amicus Small Firm and Amicus Accounting are available now via Gavel & Gown's extensive sales channel. Amicus Accounting is priced at $249 (US) per license and Amicus Small Firm sells for $499 (US) for the first license and $349 (US) for additional licenses.
