Elite Enterprise 3.8 Unveiled at LegalTech New York

Thomson Elite

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 6, 2009 – Elite has announced the general availability of Elite® Enterprise Version 3.8, the newest release of the company's client-server financial and practice management system for legal and professional services firms.

The new features in Enterprise 3.8 Billing Manager include the ability for firms to attach user-defined field (UDF) information to a bill – directly at the bill level – to better track information at an invoice or payment level from clients and record more accurate data. Several enhancements were made for use with Elite Document Studio, rendering output directly in Proforma Edit and Report Manager.

Accounts Payable enhancements include the ability to provide Voucher Batch Controls and to link Vendors together for data entry and reporting. Elite Enterprise 3.8 also includes enhancements to its General Ledger and Elite Global Release.

In addition, there are several key enhancements to Conflicts Manager and Records Manager. Prospective Search Auditing in Conflicts Manager allows firms to track additions, modifications and deletions of Batch names. Linked Records and hit detail screens have been updated to provide more complete information.

Records Manager includes greatly enhanced Check In and Check Out functions for updating statuses and changing locations, and reorganized, relabeled and updated grids to provide more relevant information to users. Additionally, there is a new status option for files created in WebView, which when combined with a new standard Extend event can allow firms to create a pseudo-workflow to allow such new files to be vetted by records management personnel.

"We've taken action on some great feedback from our clients by creating dozens of enhancements to Elite Enterprise," said Kim Massana, senior vice president, Elite. "So we're confident firms will welcome the various features that improve how well they manage their practice."
